Cutting Hair on La Tijera Since 1992
Hair Architects has been at 6865 South La Tijera Boulevard since 1992. We do barbering and hair styling for men and women — fades, tapers, line-ups, shaves and styling work — and we carry the retail products we use in the chair.
Most of the people cutting here have been doing it for more than twenty years.
How the Shop Started
Owner Mark Graham came to barbering through baseball.
He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 28th round of the 1990 draft out of Santa Monica College and did not sign, later signing with Milwaukee and playing in Pocatello and Welland. Traveling for ball, he kept running into barbers who did not know how to cut his hair. So he learned to do it himself.
That turned into barber school, and barber school turned into a lease on La Tijera in 1992.
He is still in the shop, still cutting.
Walk In, or Book Ahead
Our barbers take appointments and you can book them online.
Mark is the exception. He does not take appointments — he keeps himself open for whoever comes through the door. If you want Mark, walk in and ask for him.
